I got for my daughter last week the new Panasonic HDC-SDT750K, High Definition 3D Camcorder. I got it at $734 which is about 47% discount(Original value :$1350). She is extremely pleased with it and the features of this camcorder are awesome. However be prepared for the learning curve! It is a professional equipment!!

I imported into premier pro but instead of 3D it is just showing up as two different screens im confuse what do i do this i for a school assignment!!! Any help is hugely appreciated!!!

A 3D pocket camcorder is similar in size to a compact camera. Many 3D camcorders can record stereo sound and are provided with image stabilization.

The first 3D pocket camcorder is the Fujifilm FinePix Real 3D W1. It has two lenses but only one processor so can be slow when processing 3D.

The Aiptek3D i2 has two lenses and two sensors. The 3D images may be seen in the parallax-barrier LCD panel without glasses. When the device is plugged into an external TV or monitor, the monitor must be able to turn a side-by-side video stream into a stereoscopic display.[1]

I imagine a small handheld camcorder that is capable of recording in 3D. (I actually found something similar on the us patent website, under "3d Camera." I wonder if this idea could eventually turn into a 3D camcorder) If a camcorder could possibly record in 3D, maybe there could be software build into the camera that distinguishes different objects from eachother and allow you to pan around certain objects to see them at different views, maybe the main focus of your picture. Then, the camera could also take photographs of certain views of your 3d picture, or you can save the 3d file to your computer. Does anyone out there think that this makes sense?

3D technologies of widely varying utility have been around for a couple of centuries.
3D object identification/interpretation schemes also exist, and again, with widely varying success and utility. Most of these are 3D adaptations of OCR technology.
Regarding your "pan" concept, even x-y-z-360 technologies exist today, the most famous of which are MRIs.

And as technology advances, each of the previous technologies fade into the shadows of history.

I actually believe that "star trek" style "holodecks" are possible, although I don't envision the possibility of such technology emerging in my, my kids, or my grandkids lifetimes. A real pity, that... ;-)

OTOH, I've been thinking about this off and on since I was a kid, and I actually have an idea that may be currently developable. A kind of "living room 3D TV" sort of thingy.
Fundamentally, the "tv" would be a hollow transparent sphere or vertical cylinder filled with an excitable medium.
All you have to do now is invent the medium and a way to excite it!!
Yeah, okay...my bad.... ;-)
