What video camera has the most manual controls for under $400?

I want a good quality video camera for less than $400. But i want one with good manual controls such as exposure, focus, and white balance. Also it would be better if they shoot in full HD.

First off, HD camcorders interpolate the video, which means of every 25 frames of video, 4 or 5 frames are taken by the lens assembly; the other frames in between these are filled in by the camcorder inner circuitry, thus giving you not true video. It looks like this -one frame from the lens assembly, 7or 8 from the electronic circuitry, one frame from the lens assembly, 7or 8 from the electronic circuitry, one frame from the lens assembly, 7or 8 from the electronic circuitry, one frame from the lens assembly, 7or 8 from the electronic circuitry, from front to back of the video. Near impossible to edit, even when you have the Multi port processor computer with the big 1GB Graphics card and a Sound card that is required to edit, view, watch and work with the files these camcorders produce.

MiniDV is currently the most popular format for consumer digital camcorders. MiniDV camcorders are typically more affordable than their HDD and DVD counterparts. Each MiniDV tape will typically hold an hour of footage at normal recording speed and quality. MiniDV tapes are available for purchase at not only electronic and camera stores, but also at drugs stores and grocery stores, making them easy to find while your on vacation. There are literally hundreds of MiniDV camcorders available; both in standard and high-definition. And add the fact that to get a HD camcorder that could produce better video quality footage, one would have to spend in excess of $3500 for that camcorder that could produce higher quality video.

My Canon ZR MiniDV tape camcorders can do all you list and more, in Manual mode, as that is the only mode I shoot in. And I would put my MiniDV tape camcorders in any contest regarding video Quality against any HD Camcorder under $3000, and i know I would win.

Hello, I'm in a bit of a trouble right here, what should I buy? A digital camera or a camcorder, I both like taking videos and pictures, what do you suggest?

I know digital cameras can't take very good quality videos, but can camcorders capture a good quality picture?

Please, if you suggest a product, please keep it under 400⬠(or 580$/359british pounds)

Most consumer grade digital cameras can't take very good quality videos AND most consumer grade camcorders can't capture good quality pictures.

Although, many camcorders are shooting up to say, 5 mega pixel images. And some digital cameras can record video in 640 x 480, which is not too bad for YouTube, etc.

I own the camera at the link below. It takes awesome images and the video is okay for my use. It's just standard definition. But I have high definition video cameras I use to for video.

It's one of those things where you have to decide which is more important to you, high quality images or high quality video.

What is the best camera that is 1920x1080p?

I was trying to look for a full HD camera that is 1920x1080p. Does anyone know the best camcorder between $400 and $800 dollers. I am also looking for one that is good for filming fast moving things ( roller coasters). Can anyone give me some suggestions?

If you want a good answer, answer this question again under the camcorders category. It will be tough finding it in your price range, but I would personally love to have a Casio EXILIM Pro EX-F1. It shoots 1920 x 1080 at 60 fields per second, but it can do lower resolutions at higher framerates. For example, it will shoot 512 Ã 384 at 300 frames per second. That would be perfect for a roller coaster video.

after working in the film industry for almost 3 years and shooting snowboard/ski videos for local mountains like echo mountain, and copper mountain, here is what i have to say.

HD is not a easy rout to go. HD is a very unforgiving environment. First off, you need an HD camcorder. Those run about 1000 dollars averagely. You would also need a video editing program that supports editing in HD. Sony vegas is a common program but that runs you 500 bucks. You also need a ton of ram and a good graphics card that can process the HD video while editing. In the end you need an HD dvd burner that can burn your HD footage. If you fall short of one of these things the video in the end will not come out in true HD but will be brought down to normal SD quality. If you have the money and tools to shoot, edit, and play in HD then go for it!

I would go for miniDV any day. flash memory can only store a little data and the quality is not as supurb as mini dv

In my opinion i shot my first snowboard video on a panasonic pvgs 320. Its a great camcorder that has 3ccd's and has the best picture for a camera under 400 dollars. I currently own it and love it. If you don't want that camcorder then get something that is 3ccd. It will be making the people that watch it go WOW! 3ccd gives you supurb color and I highly reccomend it.
