best camcorders mini image

I have old cassettes, vhs tapes, and camcorder mini tapes that I wish to convert to digital format. Can anyone please recommend some bang for the buck converters for all three of these media devices? It does not matter If I have to buy separate converters. I have a s video output in my camcorder but not my computer. Your assistance in this matter will be greatly appreciated!

Can i format mini dvd for camcorders onto my computer is there a free download for editting and formatting?

It depends on the miniDVD. RW, yes. Others, after "finalizing", no. But you don't do that in the computer - you do it using the camcorder and follow the instructions in the camcorder manual for unfinalizing and deleting the files.
