trying to go in to recording industry and having hard time to find nice price on 3ccd / high def camcorders. Please advise if anyone knows a cheep place to buy or used will work.
Answer
A good 'Starter' cam for when you're getting serious is a Canon XL1S. I use one for my internet video business which also produces DVDs, so the quality has to meet that standard.
They're discontinued now, so you'll only get one second-hand, but they are very reliable and give a fantastic picture for the money.
They were replaced by the XL2, which is HD (I think) but that cost about 4x as much!
Equally important is the video production software you want to use. Make sure the camera is compatible with the computer and software.
When you come to buy, check eBay.

DSLR vs. 3CCD camcorders?

D-Bag
I'm a newb, to put it simply... And I'd like to know the differences between the two. Pros and cons of both, please? I would definitely appreciate it!
Also, stick to the facts and save the pretentious, artistic, I'm better than you bullshit.
Answer
DSLR is meant to take pictures
3CCD is meant to take movies.
You don't know the difference so you shouldn't purchase either.
