Will this mic work for my camcorder?

I'm not very tech savvy, so could someone *please* help me out here. I'd so very much appreciate it.

I currently own a Canon ZR600 and am looking into buying a mic for it, as the built-in mic sucks. I'm going to want a cable hook up for it, which is hard to find, but I came across this little website (http://www.suntekstore.com/14-37-inch-professional-shotgun-microphone-for-canon-camcorder.html) and would really like to know if this would work for my Canon ZR600. It doesn't specify if it's for ANY camcorder of their brand, or just the top professional ones, which has left me confused.

Being a Professional Camcorder IS RECOMMENDED. It doesnt have to be a pro camcorder
Has to have a built in handle ON THE TOP of the camera
Has to have an LCD Screen
Has to be able to have a good fisheye lens attatched to it
